S. Martin Friedman (Hungarian, 1896-1981) - “Iapetus” Op Art Etching #9/260 (1973, Signed). Geometric etching #9 from a series of 260. Signed and dated in the lower right corner. Matted and housed under glass in an aluminum frame. In very good condition with light yellowing in the corners of the matte. A few small scratches to the frame. Wear is conducive with age.

Size: 17.75”W x 16.5”H

A fine art painter of abstraction, Martin Friedman was born in Hungary, and lived in Provincetown, Massachusetts from 1955 to the 1970s. He also lived in Brooklyn, New York.

He was a student at the National Academy of Design. Memberships included Federal Modern Painters and Sculptors, Audubon Artists, and Woodstock Art Association.
