Antique Italian Art Deco Alabaster Horse Head Bookends

Circa 1930s

Pair of hand-carved alabaster horse head bookends mounted on black marble bases. The natural grey veining of the alabaster is prominently visible, particularly in one specimen. Executed in the bold, streamlined style characteristic of Art Deco decorative arts.

Condition Notes:

- One ear tip missing (see detail photos)

- Surface wear including light scuffs and scratches

- Black bases show minor paint loss, revealing white substrate

Dimensions:

- Combined: 14.5"W × 9.75"H × 2.5"D

- Individual: 7.25"W × 9.75"H × 2.5"D

Materials:

- Primary element: Carved alabaster
