Cassie Namoda (b. 1988, Maputo, Mozambique) is a contemporary artist known for her evocative figurative paintings that explore themes of identity, colonialism, and cultural hybridity. Raised in Kenya, Indonesia, and the United States, Namoda’s multicultural upbringing deeply influences her work, which often features dreamlike, narrative-driven scenes with a rich color palette.
