These two rare 1931 issues (No. 2 and No. 4) of the seminal French art journal Cahiers d’Art exemplify its pioneering role in modernist discourse. Founded in 1926 by Christian Zervos, the magazine—published irregularly but up to ten times a year—bridged avant-garde art, archaeology, and critical theory, featuring luminaries like Picasso, Matisse, Léger, Miró, and Brâncuși alongside ethnographic and architectural studies.
