American contemporary artist Aaron Johnson is known for his psychologically intense, surreal paintings that examine themes of transformation, the grotesque, and shifting identity. Working primarily with acrylics, Johnson developed a signature "reverse painting" technique, applying layers of pigment to the back of transparent surfaces to achieve glowing, dreamlike images.
